Michael Wilson has been sort of an enigma at Stanford. Wilson has shown flashes of excellence but as soon as the excitement rose, the injury bug reared its ugly head, perhaps forcing his national ranking lower than what it should be.
Wilson had a huge sophomore season, hauling in 56 catches for 672 yards and 5 touchdowns. But his last few seasons remained injury plagued, limiting his value to the Cardinal on the field. However, Wilson turned heads and opened eyes, being one of the most talked about performers during his week at the Senior Bowl. He seems to have built a momentum leading up to the draft and could be a day three steal for a team like the Steelers who have a penchant for finding receiver talent later in the selection process.
Wilson has size and speed and, when he was available, was a deep threat for Stanford. He’s proven to have soft hands and is a good route runner, which will prove both valuable and necessary to an NFL club willing to take the risk with his injury history.

Final Analysis
Michael Wilson has reinvented himself during the Senior Bowl and, with a good
combine, can possibly jump him into a 2nd-round slot but will likely be a day three
steal for a team with patience. Wilson has the talent to be a solid number two or three
receiver in the NFL but must prove he can stay healthy.
Projected Draft Position
Pittsburgh could jump at a guy like Michael Wilson in the third round (pick 80) if
he is still on board. Wilson is ascending right now, but Draft 412 slots him in the
third to fourth round range.
