Bills and Titans Biggest Needs by Logan Lepiscopo

NFL Teams Biggest Needs by Draft Order

NFL writer Logan Lepiscopo continues to bring a series that will contain every NFL team’s biggest need heading into the NFL draft. Each article will consist of two teams going in draft order. This article will be the Buffalo Bills and the Tennessee Titans. If a team has multiple first-round picks the team that originally owned that pick will be covered, to avoid repetitiveness and ensure all 32 teams have been written about. Logan Lepiscopo will also give his “perfect/ideal” draft for each and every NFL team.

Buffalo Bills: Cornerback

  1. The team still has Tre’Davious White and Taron Johnson but signing Siran Neal does not fill the teams need for a cornerback. Levi Wallace was signed by the Steelers; the team has two phenomenal safeties with Hyde and Poyer but they cannot take on the cornerback role. Arguably the next biggest need for the team is the interior defensive line, pass rush has been an issue for Buffalo over recent years, Ed Oliver shows promise and bringing in DaQuan Jones and Jordan Phillips brings in support. However this draft class is deep with talent and freak of nature athletes at the defensive tackle position. Some talent that is way too good to pass up on for a reoccurring need. Last need for this team is a wide receiver, Stefon Diggs just got a big deal and Jamison Crowder was just signed but the team could use some depth at the position. Gabriel Davis and Isaiah McKenzie are both very young and talented and could be starters in the near future for the team, but previously said depth is needed. Tennessee Titans: Interior Offensive Line

  1. The Titans like many teams need help on the offensive line for this draft, specifically the interior offensive line is a need for the team. The guard position should be addressed in the draft not only to help protect Ryan Tannehill, but also to create holes for Derrick Henry. Aaron Brewer and Nate Davis are the current starters for the team, but adding a young talented guard, which there are many in this draft, would be very helpful. The next need for the Titans is the wide receiver position. A.J. Brown and Robert Woods have both had their fair share of injuries recently, and Nick Westbrook-Ikhine as the wide receiver three should be a huge red flag for the Titans. Year after year we have a very talented wide receiver class, last year the Titans took Dez Fitzpatrick who turned out to not be much in the Titans game plan in 2021. The last of the three biggest needs for the Titans is the linebacker position. Yes, the team brought back Harold Landry and Zach Cunningham and David Long are solid to solidify the group, but David Long’s contract is up after this season and the team could be looking for a new rookie to come in and take over the position.
