Broncos and Seahawks Biggest Needs by Logan Lepiscopo

NFL Teams Biggest Needs by Draft Order

A brand-new article series! NFL writer Logan Lepiscopo brings a series that will entitle every NFL team’s biggest offseason need heading into free agency and the NFL draft. Each article will consist of two teams going in draft order. This article will be about the Denver Broncos and the Seattle Seahawks… very fitting. If a team has multiple first round picks, the team that originally owned that pick will be covered, to avoid repetitiveness and ensure all 32 teams are covered. Every article will continue to have a mock draft done, but now using https://www.nflmockdraftdatabase.com/mock-draft-simulator due to other websites not having some under the radar prospects that tested phenomenally.

Denver Broncos:

  1. Well with the addition of Russell Wilson we can check off the Broncos need for a quarterback in the offseason and the draft. The Broncos new primary focus for the draft should be the edge rusher position, whether that be getting Von Miller back, free agency, or the draft, the edge position needs to be addressed. Another position that can be addressed for the Broncos is the offensive line. We know about Russell Wilson’s unhappiness with the Seahawks offensive line, so the Broncos should make it a priority to keep him from hitting the turf. The Broncos also have a big hole at the linebacker position, using Bradley Chubb as a pass rusher leaves nobody in that second level for quarterbacks to worry about making a play. Cornerback may be looked at in later rounds with Kyler Fuller and Bryce Callahan both set to hit free agency. I won’t hold it up any longer, let’s get into this mock draft for the Denver Broncos…

Seattle Seahawks: Quarterback

  1. From Russell Wilson to Drew Lock… The Seahawks needs completely changed with that trade, but now they have just the picks they need to return to a playoff contender. Drew Lock has never been “the guy” in my eyes so quarterback moves up to be my number one need for the Seahawks heading into free agency and the draft. Along with the quarterback position we know Seattle has had recent problems with having a solid offensive line, and with Russell Wilson and Bobby Wagner out of the picture the Seahawks have a lot of salary cap space to bring in some quality starting offensive lineman. As I mentioned the Seahawks released Bobby Wager, so the linebacker position is now a big need as well as the cornerback position as we have seen all the passing yards given up the past two seasons. There is a lot for the Seahawks to get in free agency and the draft this year, and with eight draft picks this year, four in the first three rounds the Seahawks are set to get themselves back into the playoff picture despite the competitive NFC West. Let’s get into this mock draft for the Seattle Seahawks!

RD-1-Pick 9- QB-Malik Willis- Liberty

RD-2-Pick 40- CB Kaiir Elam- Florida
