A 5-star recruit out of California, was ranked the #2 player in the 2019 recruiting class. 247 Sports listed him as the 49th best player in their history of ranking high school recruits. An unstoppable force in high school for both Dorsey High School as a sophomore (17 sacks, 27 tackles for loss) and Oaks Christian High as a junior (20 sacks, 28 tackles for loss) His senior year at Oaks Christian High he would add 18 sacks and 5 forced fumbles. He picked Oregon over twenty-five other offers, Thibodeaux said he was comfortable with what the coaches wanted him to do, sack the QB.

Thibodeaux has the potential to be a #1 pick of the draft and will be part of the elite defensive ends in the NFL. Kayvon will be a name we will be hearing for years and years to come. Potential to be an ALL-NFL type player.
