Pre-Season Top 25 NCAA Hoops. 10-31-22

North Carolina Leads the Field

The 2022-2023 college basketball season is almost ready for opening tip, and North Carolina are the early favorites in the Sportsvival pre-season top 25. The Tar Heels who lost 72-69 to Kansas in the NCAA Championship game last season bring back four starters, including ACC Pre-Season Player of the Year Armando Barcot. Barcot along with guards Caleb Love, and RJ Davis should make North Carolina a force all season long.

Though the best two players eligible for the 2023 NBA Draft won’t be playing college basketball (Victor Wembanyama-Metropolitans-France and Scoot Henderson-G-League Ignite) there is still plenty of talent in college basketball.

Oscar Tshiebwe a center for Kentucky leads our pre-season All-Americans. Tshiebwe the returning consensus All-American averaged 17.4 points and 15.1 rebounds and we don’t see no reason why Oscar can’t improve on those gaudy numbers.

Gonzaga, Kentucky, Kansas, and Houston round out our pre-season top 25.
