The Pittsburgh Penguins announced on Friday that the team has added forward, Vinnie Hinostroza, to a one-year deal for the 2023-2024 season. Hinostroza will make the league minimum of $775k for the season.
Pittsburgh will be Hinostroza’s fifth team in his career, having spent the past eight years with the Chicago Blackhawks, Arizona Coyotes, Florida Panthers, and Buffalo Sabres. Hinostroza’s best season was in 2018-2019 when he scored 39 points in 72 games for the Coyotes.
Hinostroza is 5’10” and a quick skater who started his career at center and has switched to wing. He’s a bottom six two-way player who will give the Penguins another option on the penalty kill unit.
